Each year our pantry distributes between 2,000 and 3,000 bags of groceries.
Every Saturday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, we are open to clients. We give food to people regardless of their faith, race or socio-economic status. The pantry is managed by church volunteers and is supported through generous donations from the members of the church and the community at large.
To make a financial donation, please send a check to Stepney Baptist, earmarked for “food pantry” and mail it to 423 Main St, Monroe, CT. 06468. All financial donations are tax deductible and will be deposited in a designated fund for the exclusive purpose of keeping the pantry stocked.
To donate food, please bring unexpired canned or dry food and drop it off during the pantry hours of operation on Saturday, or leave at the door of the pantry, if it’s closed. Rice and dry beans are always in demand!
Your support of this important work is greatly needed and appreciated! As you can imagine, the cost involved in keeping this pantry stocked are exorbitant.
